A: 난 형제가 없어. 있었으면 좋겠다는 생각을 가끔 해. 마치 붙박이 친구가 있는 것 같지 않아?

  - I don't have any brothers or sisters. Sometimes I wish I did. It's like having a bulit-in friend, isn't it?

 

 

* 여기서 did : had a brother or a sister

 

 

 

B: 어.... 꼭 그런 것은 아니야. 가끔은... 근데 그건 그때 그때 달라.

  - Uh... Not exactly. Sometimes..but that really depends.

 

 

 

A: 뭐, 서로 골치 아프게 할 일이 가끔 있겠지. 근데 항상 내 편인 사람이 있다는 것이 아주 든든할 것 같은데.

  - Well, I'm sure we would drive each other crazy every now and then. But, I think it would be very comforting to know that there's someone who always has my back, you know?

 

 

* drive sombody crazy : ~를 미치게 하다.

 

* It is very comforting : (마음이) 든든하다.

 

* It would be vvery comforting : (마음이) 든든할 거다.

 

* have someone back : 누구의 편인, 누구를 지원하다.

 

 

 

B: 항상 내편이라고??  그랬으면 참 좋겠다.

  - Always has my back? I wish.
