기초영어회화(A foreigner ask me how to make kimchi)

 

 

 

 

 

있잖아요, 제가 김치는 늘 먹는데 실제로는 직접 만들어본 적은 없어요.

  - You know, I eat Kimchi all the time but I've never actually made any myself.

 

 

 

방법도 몰라요. 어머님을 몇 번 도와드린 적은 있는데 단순한 레시피가 아니에요.

  - I don't even know how. I 've helped my mother several times but it's not just a recipe.

전체 과정이 거의 하루 종일 걸리고 일이 엄청 많아요

  - The whole process takes almost an entire day and it's a lot of work.

 

 

* it's a lot of work : 할 일이 굉장히 많다, (어떤 일을 하는데) 많은 노력이 들어가다.

 

 

 

요즘은 쉽게 김치를 그냥 살 수 있어요.

  - Nowadays, you can easily just buy Kimchi.

 

 

 

그래서 요즘은 집에서 그 번거로운 과정을 다 거치려는 사람들이 많지 않아요

  - So, nowadays, not many people are willing to go through all that trouble at home.

 

* nowadays : 예전과는 달라진 현재 모습(these days와 다른점, 하지만 항상 이렇게 해석x)
